Summer Daze

Summer daze

                                                                                         in the sun images

                                                                     glide their languid descent

                              like dust motes on diaphanous beams

           streaming through your skylight.

i catch one on my fingertip — the memory of

           [redacted; too sacred to sully with utterance].

      i amass these transient jewels like snow-

           flakes on the tip of my tongue.

                              they taste like your ocean lips;

                                                         their salt leaves me thirsting.
