Suite

Lucas Neri Borges

I

I light a lamp, I light

a shining vertigo

in the middle of the room—

II

I say set-square, papyrus

I say the name five seven times

I draw on the walls

of my bedroom a black circle

III

Exceed.

I dance with the name

written on my hands

I make a rope out of it

a chain—

a very fine thread to hold

IV

Architectural fiction.

More columns than scriptures

more fissures than verses.
